Ganiyu Mustapha emerges chairman of ICAN Sokoto chapter

The new chairman is expected to build on the achievements of his predecessors and explore new ways to enhance the chapter’s impact

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Sokoto State chapter has installed Alhaji Ganiyu Mustapha as its 6th chairman.

The 61st President of ICAN, Malam Haruna Yahaya, represented by Northern Zonal Chairman, Ibrahim Alkali, congratulated Mustapha and his team, urging them to ensure the impact of professional accountancy is felt in Sokoto and beyond.

ICAN aims to leverage digital technology to enhance its services and impact in the profession.

The outgoing chairman, Alhaji Ismaeel Sulaiman, highlighted the achievements of his administration, including human capital development, community interventions, and registration of tutored centers in Sokoto and Birnin Kebbi.

ICAN’s role in promoting financial management and professional accountancy in Sokoto State and Nigeria was emphasized.

Alhaji Ganiyu Mustapha is tasked with leading the chapter to further promote professional accountancy and financial management in the region.

The new chairman is expected to build on the achievements of his predecessors and explore new ways to enhance the chapter’s impact.
