Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, and will not go scot-free

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, police and intelligence agencies to immediately commence a coordinated operation to rescue victims of the recent mass abduction in Niger State.
The President also ordered the Service Chiefs to provide him with regular updates on the rescue efforts until all those abducted are safely accounted for.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the Presidential Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu expressed outrage over the abduction and killing of innocent citizens by criminal elements, describing the attack as barbaric and unacceptable.
He vowed that those responsible for the attack would be brought to justice, describing them as “enemies of peace and enemies of humanity.”
“Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, who will not go scot-free,” the President said.
Tinubu also extended his condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and prayed for strength for them to cope with the loss.
The President assured families of the abducted victims that the Federal Government remained committed to securing their safe return.
“You are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish. We will not rest until your sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are brought back safely to you,” he said.
He directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS) and other relevant security and intelligence agencies to work jointly to secure the release of the victims.
Tinubu further instructed the Service Chiefs to keep him regularly informed about the operation until every abducted person had been accounted for.
The President declared that the latest attack would not weaken the resolve of the Federal Government to protect Nigerians and secure communities across the country.
“Terror will not cow Nigeria. We will defend our people, protect our communities, and uphold the sanctity of human life,” he said.
Tinubu expressed solidarity with the people of Niger State and assured the state government of the Federal Government’s support in strengthening security and providing assistance for recovery and relief efforts.
Terrorists invaded a mosque in Gidan-Zana, Kpenya village, Dekara District, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, on Friday and abducted scores of worshippers during Jumat prayers.
The incident has heightened concerns over the safety of residents in affected communities and renewed calls for stronger security measures to prevent further attacks and abductions.
