The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the commencement of a fresh electronic membership registration exercise nationwide as part of its preparations for the 2027 General Elections.
The exercise will officially reopen on Monday, August 31, 2026, with registration expected to take place across all wards in the country.
The party, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, called on stakeholders, supporters and members to participate in the exercise.
The APC said the exercise is open to both existing and prospective members, with current members expected to validate their membership records, while new members and those wishing to join the party can register through the electronic platform.
It stated that participants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) to qualify for registration.
According to the ruling party, the electronic registration initiative is designed to transform its membership database by replacing outdated records with a more reliable and digitally managed system.
The party said the exercise would help to improve the **accuracy and integrity of membership records**, while making membership data more accessible for effective planning and administrative decision-making.
The APC further said the initiative would promote internal democracy and reinforce its commitment to using technology to strengthen democratic processes in Nigeria.
The party urged its members, supporters and other interested Nigerians who meet the requirements to participate in the exercise as it continues preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle.
The electronic registration exercise will be conducted **across all wards nationwide**, the statement added.
