Samaila Abdulmuminu Kamba, the erstwhile speaker of Kebbi State House of Assembly during the leadership of former governor, Senator Adamu Aliero, has declared his intention to contest for Kebbi North Senatorial District under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi state.
Kamba who rejoined the ruling party few months ago from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said that his reason to vie for the position is to add to what he did as speaker and to contribute to what the governor of Kebbi state, Dr Nasir Idris is doing in terms of human capacity building.
He noted that reaching thousand of his constituents is only possible if he is in office as senator even as he added that his well of experience as a lawmaker will help him to contribute positively to nation-building.
He stressed that he defected to APC because he is satisfied with the way Governor Idris is running Kebbi state government.
“I joined the APC at my own time not at the expense of anybody, I am an adult and bona fide Nigerian, therefore I can take any decision I deem fit. Immediately I got satisfied with the current happenings in the state, I joined to contribute my own quota” he said.
Before joining the ruling party, Kamba was an astute member of PDP in Kebbi with massive followers and strong relevance in Kebbi politics.
