Hon. Abduljalal Idris Bunza, popularly known as Aljazeera, has expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) following his appointment as Deputy Director, Civil Society and Support Groups Coordination of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.

Bunza, in a statement accepting the appointment, thanked the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him, while extending appreciation to the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, party stakeholders and members of the Presidential Campaign Council for their support.

He described the appointment as a call to service, responsibility, unity and sacrifice, pledging to contribute meaningfully to the success of the party’s campaign and its broader political objectives.

The NDC campaign official assured civil society organisations, support groups, volunteers and party members across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that their contributions would be recognised and valued.

He emphasised that no group or individual who had registered with or aligned with the party would be abandoned or forgotten, stressing that unity and collective commitment remained essential to achieving the NDC’s electoral ambitions.

According to him, the Presidential Campaign Council provides a common platform for party leaders, stakeholders, civil society organisations and support groups to coordinate activities, strengthen relationships and mobilise support for the party.

Bunza called on members and support groups to remain loyal, disciplined, patient and committed to the party, urging them to work together with mutual respect and understanding despite differences in their backgrounds and organisational structures.

He also pledged to remain accessible, dedicated and responsive to the concerns of members and affiliated support groups, assuring them that he would work diligently to justify the confidence placed in him.

He said effective coordination and sustained collaboration among the various groups would be critical to strengthening the party’s structures and improving its chances in the 2027 general election.

Bunza concluded by urging party members to remain steadfast and united, expressing optimism that collective efforts, faith and determination would contribute to the NDC’s success.

He prayed for divine guidance for the party and blessings for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
