365Daily – Political stakeholders in Ogbaru have applauded the appointment of two prominent Anambra figures, Hon. Afam Victor Ogene and Oseloka H. Obaze with key positions in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) National Campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders described the recognition as a result of their leadership experience, political contributions and commitment to national development.
In a congratulatory statement on Monday, signed by Chinedum Uwolloh, NDC candidate for Ogbaru II State Constituency, they said the appointments reflected their “voice of reason, people-oriented leadership, and unwavering commitment to national development.”
Ogene, who represents Ogbaru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was appointed a member of the party’s 18-member National Campaign Caucus.
He is the Chairman of the House Committee on Renewable Energy, Leader of the NDC Caucus in the House of Representatives and Spokesperson of the Minority Caucus in the 10th National Assembly.
Similarly, Obaze, a former Secretary to the Anambra State Government and close ally of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was named Anambra State representative on the 40-member National Campaign Advisory Council.
He was also appointed Director of Logistics and Operations of the National Campaign Directorate.
Congratulating the two leaders, the Ogbaru stakeholders described them as “worthy, illustrious sons and representatives of Ogbaru,” expressing confidence that their experience would contribute to the party’s national campaign.
“Ogbaru is proud of you. Anambra is proud. Nigeria will benefit from your wealth of knowledge and experience,” the statement said.
While Ogene brings legislative experience and grassroots political engagement to the campaign structure, Obaze brings years of experience in diplomacy, public administration and political strategy.
