Youth groups in the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have started mobilising quietly for Mr. Austine Eneduwa-George to contest the next governorship election in the state, 365Daily has gathered.
According to the youths, Eneduwa-George is eminently qualified to be the next governor of the state and should take a shot at the governorship position of Delta State in 2023.
Their reasons include that he is a “good party man, who is well educated, connected, well travelled and also politically savvy to lead APC into a political contest with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.”
Eneduwa-George is an indigene of Ogwashi -Uku, the headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government Area, who has been in the ruling party at the federal level from its inception, unlike some other party members who joined the party from PDP.
According to those urging him to throw his cap in the governorship election ring, he has the “connection at the party’s national level, has brilliant ideas and rich network of friends to take the state to its next level of development.”
Eneduwa-George is a former vice chairman of the Federation of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria, sports administrator, aviation consultant among many other social and economic groups.
His emergence, many believe in some quarters, will raise the bar as it has the potential to cause some confusion in the Delta political circles, as he’s highly regarded by the ‘who is who’ even in the PDP, as he is a close associate of majority of PDP stalwarts who can attest to his sagacity and prowess but wished he was in their party rather than the opposition.
