The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a scheduled three-hour power outage in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, and its environs as part of its annual preventive maintenance programme.
In a statement, TCN said its maintenance crew will carry out the exercise on the Sagamu–Ijebu-Ode 132kV transmission line on Friday, September 18, 2026.
The maintenance is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.
TCN explained that during the exercise, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity for distribution to customers in Ijebu-Ode and surrounding areas.
The company said the maintenance was necessary to ensure the continued reliability and efficiency of the transmission network.
TCN apologised to electricity consumers in the affected areas for the inconvenience the temporary interruption may cause and appealed for their understanding.
