Azubogu kick-starts medical outreach with 60 surgeries

Hon. Chris Azubogu, on Monday November 30, kick-started his fourth free medical outreach in his constituency with 60 successful surgeries carried out on the first day of the programme.

According to the legislator, who represents Nnewi North/Nnewi South and Ekwusigu Federal Constituency, Anambra State, in the House of Representatives, “About 2000 patients are billed to be attended to across our four centres. Our record also indicates that people across communities in the 21 LGAs in Anambra and even our neighbouring states, participated on the first day.

“We give God the glory for the privilege to positively impact on the lives of the people and for the successes we have recorded so far. Just yesterday, 60 people had successful surgeries.

“And the outreach will continue this morning as we strive to touch more lives this new month of December.”

The programme is taking place simultaneously at the Joint Hospital, Ozubulu, Diocesan Hospital, Akwudo, Nnewi, Diocesan Hospital, Amichi and the General Hospital, Ukpor.

Hon. Azubogu commended the health workers and other volunteers for their efforts as he wished all the patients quick recovery and a beautiful new month.
