APC urges Muslim Ummah to sustain prayers for peace, unity of Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the Muslim Ummah that as they celebrate, they should sustain prayers for peace, unity and progress of Nigeria, while upholding the virtuous essence of Ramadan, including penitence, sacrifice and obedience.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, he felicitated with all Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

The message reads: “A major Islamic festival to express gratitude to Allah for strength during the holy month of Ramadan, Eid-el-Fitr marks the successful completion of the month-long fasting, spiritual reflection and obedience.

“It symbolizes spiritual renewal and fosters family and community bonds through charity, prayer, fellowship and peaceful coexistence.

“As we celebrate, we urge Nigerians to sustain their prayers for peace, unity and progress of our dear nation, while upholding the virtuous essence of Ramadan, including penitence, sacrifice and obedience.

“The occasion of Eid-el-Fitr also beckons on us to reach out to the needy and less privileged around us with kindness, love and fellowship”.

“May the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful bring more peace and unity to our country as we work together for enduring progress and shared prosperity.”
