Ebonyi Reps member Chinedu Ogah disburses N200 cash, food items, wrappers

Ogah emphasized the importance of complementing these efforts by extending further assistance to his constituents, especially in constituency development projects

The House of Representatives member from Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, on the 2024 Boxing Day, disbursed over N200 million Naira, foodstuffs, and phantoms of the wrapper to his constituents in the spirit of the yuletide.

Ogah distributed the food items including bags of rice, and noodles among others with wrappers and cash gifts to his constituents at his Item Amegu country home in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State.

Interacting with journalists, Ogah described the gesture as his annual event used to appreciate his constituents who voted him into the position of power.

He promised to go the extra mile to make his constituents happy by attracting more dividends of democracy to them, noting that he had mapped a plan to provide them with farm inputs during next year’s farming season to fight against food insecurity in the area.

Some beneficiaries

The federal lawmaker commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State on their respective contributions to fighting hardship confronting the nation through their administrations’ policies and programs, especially on the empowerment of the citizens.

Acknowledging the progress made by the Governor Nwifuru in improving the lives of Ebonyi people, Ogah emphasized the importance of complementing these efforts by extending further assistance to his constituents, especially in constituency development projects.

“The cash, we are disbursing here is N200 million with bags of rice and other food items, to appreciate the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State,” Ogah hinted.

The cash and food items disbursed during the event, in his words, were aimed at supporting the state government’s initiatives and ensuring that no one in the community goes home without essential provisions.

Our correspondent reports that the Christmas celebration brought together the executives of All Progressives Congress, APC and various groups from the state.
