The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Jaafaru Ango assured of government’s commitment to their welfare, security and general wellbeing, stressing that Nasarawa state remains peaceful and will continue to sustain it.
Governor Sule disclosed that he is aware of the challenges bedeviling the NYSC Scheme in the state as he enjoined the corps members to be committed to the salient lectures they would be receiving, especially the SAED programme.
In his welcome address, the Nasarawa State NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Jikamshi, lauded the attitude of the NYSC members since the commencement of the orientation course, especially their response to training.
Jikamshi expressed gratitude to the state governor for giving a listening ear to the chairman, NYSC Governing Board and the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development over the needs of the NYSC in the state.

Some corps members interviewed, Ezeluomba Chisom and Muhammad Olodo Abdulmajeed, appreciated the NYSC for giving them the opportunity to serve their fatherland and promised to give their best during the one year mandatory service.
