The national chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure, has congratulated the leader of the party, Mr. Peter Obi on his 63rd birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Friday,  Abure said he and the entire leadership of the party are happy with Obi’s trajectory in the political space.

According to him, “Birthdays are special occasion in the life of anyone but it is even more special when you look back to one’s beginning, the trajectory of life and where God has brought you thus far. A psalmist once sang, ‘Count your blessings, name them one by one, it would surprise you what the Lord has done for you.’

“When we look at you, we see the blessings of God all round you; we see hope in the midst of hopelessness; we see a new Nigeria even in the present affable and rudderless situation; we see a dogged fighter; we see a unifier, we see a pacifist and a leader with vision and conscience.

“We have chosen to beat the drums in your honour today to celebrate you for your past achievements and what destiny has in stock for the nation through you. Though it may have been delayed but certainly it won’t be denied”.

He said Nigerians would never understand what has happened to them, why they have been subjected to this magnitude of degeneration and suffering in a land ladden with so much abundance.

“We are however not like people without faith, we know that God is still on the throne.

“We pray that Almighty God will continue to keep you in good health, sound mind and make you prosper in all your ways”, he added.
