The recent intervention by the member of the House of Representatives and Rivers State APC governorship candidate, Rep. Ogundu Kingsley Chinda, in flood-affected communities across his constituency has continued to attract commendation from residents.
Chinda had visited communities and residents affected by flooding as part of efforts to provide support to people impacted by the situation.
Among those who benefited from the intervention was Mr. Ikechukwu Okechukwu, an indigene of Abia State and resident of the Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency.
Okechukwu, who also appealed for assistance on behalf of his daughter, expressed appreciation to Chinda after receiving support in response to his request.
He described the gesture as a demonstration of concern for constituents and other residents facing difficult circumstances.
The intervention has also generated discussions among residents and supporters, who said direct engagement with communities during periods of crisis demonstrates the importance of responsive and compassionate leadership.
Supporters of Chinda expressed confidence in his political leadership, describing him as a candidate they believe can provide effective governance for Rivers State.
