20 ships discharging petrol, other items in Lagos port – NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 20 ships are discharging petroleum products and food stuff in Lagos ports.
The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, on Tuesday.
It listed the contents of the ships as general cargo, bulk wheat, petrol, frozen fish, bulk gypsum, butane gas, maize, bulk sugar and containers.
NPA said that 12 other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with containers, bulk wheat, petrol and bulk salt.
The authority said it was expecting 16 other ships with petroleum products, food items and other goods between Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.
It said that the ships were carrying bulk wheat, bulk sugar, frozen fish, maize, soya beans, petrol, containers and general cargo.
“They are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex,” it said.
