Umahi is a man that understands the protocols that needs to be put in place, he understands how it is pertinent, the need to be strengthened to make sure that yes we will be BOLD for everyone to see the modern Nigerian man and to monitor how things happen.
One of the fundamental reasons why we have a lot of security problems… is that there is correlation between unemployment and crime. When people do not have jobs, they are going to lend themselves to crime, that is why Umahi is very big on opening Ebonyi economy, that is why Umahi converged the entire Ebonyi State into a construction hub, that is why Umahi opened door for Ebonyi people to be gainfully employed through various openings.
Umahi believed that the present government at the center have done well, did their best to solve most of the numerous problems facing this country, certainly but more prepared or willing to call a crime/corruption what it is if given the chance at the saddle. Crime under Umahi in Ebonyi State was never given any other name, was never given for any other correlation, it was never religious, not tribal, neither was it ethnic nor business, it is purely crime. If you kill somebody under Umahi, you are going down for murder definitely, that is why Umahi is needed at the center hence a lot of abnormalities would be addressed.
Umahi, a man that believed that he will need to work with the base of pyramid and get all of the community leaders to become the first line of intelligence gathering for the country. So, it is not time to play politics with development, we cannot be told that we are the poorest of the poor and we will be happy with that, that is the mindset of Umahi in leadership.
He believes that we cannot have situations that suggested to us that people are still dying from communicable diseases that can be easily avoided, that was why he came strong enough during chorella outbreak in the state and the state was able to overcome it, yet he does not end it there, the later Covid-19 outbreak that was major shake for the entire nations of the world, Umahi was able to prove strong point, become the best in proactive measures till date, no wonder why he was appointed member of the federal committee on Covid-19 during the hot season of the pandemic.
It is no longer election in Nigeria, it is about prevention through working healthcare delivery, it is about standard education in Nigeria, it is about hopelessness or how we are going to infuse hope, it is about poverty or how we are going to keep food on the table for the good and better of every Nigerian.
Nigeria is already at a charged tipping point and can go over the cliff. To bring it back and get it working again and better, get it to become better than the other countries and even challenge the western countries in the world, it is going to be a win win for Umahi because what is going to happen is that he will allow APC have her own distinguishing ideology and it will be like:
We are for unity.
We are for business.
We are for education.
We are for massive development.
We are for employment.
We are for open policy.
We are for prudence.
We are for fair share.
The choice is very clear. It is not about ambition now. Infact, Umahi could not have imagined that his life would have been prepared so much for the top Nigerian job at this time.
God does not make mistakes, he is the author and finisher of our faith, and that is why he does his own thing at his own time.
