Jandor quits PDP

365Daily – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 electiion, Dr. Olajide Adediran, widely known as Jandor, has officially announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his office in Ikeja, Lagos, Jandor confirmed his departure but did not disclose his next political move or the reasons behind his decision.

Jandor, who previously belonged to the All Progressives Congress (APC), led the Lagos4Lagos Movement, advocating for greater internal democracy within the party. He defected to the PDP in January 2022 and subsequently secured the party’s ticket for the gubernatorial race.

In the 2023 election, he finished third, trailing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party.

 

His departure from the PDP marks another shift in Lagos State’s evolving political landscape, adding to the ongoing realignments ahead of future elections.
