365Daily – In a bid to promote self-reliance among youths, the lawmaker representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Afam Victor Ogene, has donated N1 million to an upcoming musician, Daniel Arthur Igweatu.
The donation was made over the weekend during the official presentation of Igweatu’s musical album. Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Chinedu Uwolloh, Hon. Ogene encouraged young people to identify and nurture their talents for productive engagement.
“God in His infinite goodness has imbued every human being with certain peculiar gifts, through our heads, voice, hands, legs, etc. What remains is to discover where one fits most and seek to enhance it for productive gain,” Hon. Ogene stated.
Hon. Uwolloh also disclosed that Hon. Ogene had previously provided N300,000 to support the production of the album.
“Let me restate that our Leader, Hon. Afam Ogene, is willing and ready to support any youth within Ogbaru Federal Constituency to realise or her potential, as promised during his electioneering campaign,” he said.
He added that Hon. Ogene has consistently invested in human capital development by empowering hundreds of youths and women through training and cash grants in areas such as fish farming, renewable energy, ICT, and agricultural value chains.
