It’s astounding how Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, a man without any ‘political structure’ has been able to plan and execute a presidential election campaign in Nigeria in under one year. This is what many take years if not decades to plan and execute.
From joining a new political party (little known Labour Party) in 2022, galvanizing an army of followers nationally and internationally, disrupting politics in Nigeria, mobilizing volunteers and resources to campaign and hold rallies nationwide, to raising the consciousness of Nigerians to expect and demand more from their leaders.
Many have jokingly ascribed Superman status to him due to his incredible energy, and uncanny ability to appear at multiple locations across the country almost at the same time. Many have wondered how he is able to do this, does Peter Obi have bilocation abilities? Maybe we should seek for answers in the words of a commentator, George Emetuche; “Peter Obi has the grace of God around him. There’s something special about him”.

His foray into the Nigerian presidential election campaign has inspired many, and opened the vista for Nigerians to dare and aspire. He has become the central figure of the coming elections, assuming a rock star status. Many candidates aspiring for lower positions in other political parties now boldly sell their candidature with the face of Peter Obi included in their campaign posters.
This is unprecedented. How will the voters respond on February 25th, 2023? Only time will tell.
