A former Information and Culture Minister under the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, Prince Tony Momoh, is dead.
Momoh, who was 81 years old, died at his residence in Abuja on Monday, February 1, 2021.
The deceased, a veteran journalist, was a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, the University of Lagos and the Nigerian Law school.
He held degrees in Mass Communication and Law, was a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, served in various capacities at the Daily Times of Nigeria Group and was a member of the Nigerian Press Council..
The Edo born All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain also served as Chairman of the Board of the defunct Nigeria Airways and was a patron of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria.
The Late Momoh was also a recipient of Selkyo Culture Award.
