He attributed these projects to the supportive relationship between his administration and the federal government
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Benue for not joining the nationwide protest.
Governor Alia in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, released Thursday in Makurdi, commended organized labour, trade unions, civil society organizations, youth groups, and other stakeholders for heeding his call to refrain from participating in the protest.
The cleric governor viewed this decision as a demonstration of the people’s trust in the APC-led administration’s policies and their willingness to give the government more time to improve their welfare.
He equally acknowledged that the people’s choice to shelve the protest in the state shows their firm belief in the government’s ability to address their concerns.
The Governor also assured the people of Benue that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has a deep affection for the state, adding that this is evident in the numerous projects initiated across the state.
He attributed these projects to the supportive relationship between his administration and the federal government.
The governor promised to continue delivering good governance to justify the trust placed in him by the people and urged the Benue people to remain peaceful and go about their normal activities, to ensure that the state remains a haven for progress and development.
