A combination of security forces from the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services, DSS, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, and the Nigerian Police Force, Tuesday, rescued two kidnapped victims in Maiyama local government area of Kebbi state.
Confirming the rescue operations, the director security, Alhaji Abdurahman, stated that the victims were rescued at Zugu Liba forest after a fierce gun duel with the bandits who succumbed to the fire power of the security, ran away and abandoned the victims who were successfully rescued unhurt by the security forces.
He further said that the rescued persons have been handed over to the local government chairman to reunite them with their families.
According to him, members of the community must support the ongoing clearing operations by giving useful information to the security agencies in the state poised to end the activities of bandits in the state.

He added that the state government remains resolute in the fight against insecurity in the state as it will leave no stone unturned to nib them in the bud.
