The Edo born chef, Rosemary Grace Igbadume, popularly known as RossyG, has called on Nigerians, especially those of Edo State origin and residents of the Federal Capital Territory to come and support her to achieve her proposed 21 days cooking marathon attempt.
So far, RossyG has exceeded the Guinness World Record on cook-a-thon of the current holder, and she is making effort to set a new record of 504 hours.
According to her husband, Mr. Igbadume Solomon, who spoke to some journalists at the venue, “She started on March 10, and she is still pushing forward. What I am asking for now is supports from my governor, His Excellency Godwin Obasaki, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye and our dear president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They should come forward and do something about it. I need their intervention.
“I need people to come and cheer her up; Edo State people and those living in the FCT. They should not leave everything to us. Let’s bring this glory to Nigeria”.
Also speaking, Honourable Liberty Osas from Edo State, said I am here today to support my brother and sister from Edo North and to show the Edoism that we always portray to the world. I believe my governor would be here as well as the three senators from Edo State.
“I am optimistic that she is a resilient Edo daughter and that her dream of cooking for 21 days would come through. In Pidgin language, they say, “Edo no dey carry last”.
Apart from cooking for her guests, RossyG is supplying cooked food to orphanage homes within the FCT.
