The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke is beating his closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Gboyega Oyetola with 28,344 votes in the local government areas declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
As at time of filing this report, PDP has gathered 403,371 against APC that has scored 375,027 on Sunday morning.
The election result collation and announcement are still ongoing at Osogbo, the state capital.
