365Daily – An Uyo, Akwa Ibom State based clergy, Pastor Ezekiel Atang, has died in church, after ministration.
He was the Senior Pastor of God’s House of Refuge, Uyo.
According to reports, Pastor Ezekiel, a popular relationship and marriage counselor, died inside the church, moments after preaching as a guest pastor at a church programme in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Monday, February 21, 2022.
The sad incident took place three weeks to his 50th birthday. He was said to have sent out invitation cards to friends and family for his birthday.
365Daily learnt that the late Pastor had complained of fatigue before embarking on the ill-fated journey to Onitsha to honour an invitation to minister at a friend’s church.
At the programme, he was said to have uncharacteristically requested to preach while seated on a chair, an indication that he was feeling unwell. He was reportedly died on the chair moments after he handed over the microphone to the coordinator of the event.
The late Pastor Ezekiel was survived by his wife, Dr Dara Atang, three children, aged mother, elder brothers and other relations.
