The Nasarawa State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Douglas Otaru, on Sunday admonished Muslims in particular and Nigerians across the country to pray for Governor Abdullahi Sule, President Bola Tinubu and others in position of authority to succeed and take the nation out of its present quagmire.
Otaru, on a Sallah message, made available to journalists in Lafia, said Nigerians should internalise the lessons of sacrifice inherent in Eid-el-Adha celebration.
He counselled Nigerians to practice the act of obedience inherent in the Sallah celebration with a view to allowing their prayers attract the attention of Allah towards giving leaders the wisdom, resilience and the ability to reign in all spheres of life in the country.
“This Eid signals sacrifice, humility and obedience to Almighty Allah, so I urge Nigerians to remain dedicated to piety, integrity, humility and to see selflessness as the hallmark of sacrifice that will enable us to have a better society.
He highlighted the significance of the celebration, noting that it provides an opportunity to invoke God’s blessings on Nigerian leaders and reiterated his administration’s commitment to guiding, guarding, and protecting all citizens.
“I, therefore felicitate with all Muslims and also Nigerians on this very occasion. I urged all to pray for success of the administrations of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule and other Nigerians saddled with the authorities to govern”.
The ruling APC spokesman also urged citizens to abide by the law and respect government policies aimed at restructuring the state for a conducive business atmosphere.
