The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), H.E. Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of the Governor of Jigawa State, H.E. Badaru Abubakar to chair the Bakura State House of Assembly by-election Committee.
A statement issued by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, on Tuesday, also named former APC National Vice Chairman (North East), Comrade Mustapha Salihu as Secretary.
On December 5, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct concurrent legislative by-elections in some states, including the Bakura State House of Assembly by-election in Zamfara State.
Other members of the committee are Governor of Kogi State, H.E. Yahaya Bello – Deputy Chairman; Governor of Kebbi State, H.E. Atiku Bagudu; Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako; Deputy Governor of Kano State, H.E. Nasiru Gawuna and Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi.
Others are the Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority, Chief (Dr.) George Moghalu; Youth Representative, APC CECPC, Barr. Ismail Ahmed; House of Representatives Majority Leader, Hon. Al-Hassan Ado Doguwa; Hon. Suleiman Argungu; Hon. Ismail Gadaka; Hon. Femi Ige; Hon. Ben Kalu and Hon. Magaji Da’u.
Hon. Umar Moh’d Bio-Kwara; Mr. Joseph Ibanga; Hon. Shina Peller; Barr. Innocent Egwim and Mr. Itoro Otong completed the list.
