The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored power supply from the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation in Abuja following the successful completion of tests and maintenance on a 100MVA power transformer that tripped earlier on Wednesday.
TCN said the transformer was restored at about 7:33 p.m. on September 9, 2026, after its technical team carried out comprehensive tests and maintenance to rectify the fault.
The development has also returned four affected 33kV feeders — H31, H33, H35 and H37 — to service.
According to the transmission company, bulk power supply to customers of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) connected to the affected feeders has now been fully restored.

TCN said the successful restoration followed efforts by its technical personnel to ensure the transformer was safely returned to operation.
The company appreciated electricity consumers affected by the outage for their patience and understanding during the period of the interruption.
