Former Akwa Ibom state Commissioner for Information and current Director of Airworthiness Standards (DAWS), in Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Engr. Ita Awak has said that the kick-off of Maintenance, Repairs and Over-hauling, MRO, facility at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, will place the Akwa Ibom on the pinnacle of the Aviation industry and generate huge revenue for further development of the State.
Awak stated this when Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, presented an excellent service award to him in recognition of his contributions to the development of the ministry and the state.
He noted that, Ibomair is the pride of every Akwa Ibom indigene, irrespective of political divide, adding that he will continue to support any noble initiative of the state government as he did in the facilitation of the quick registration of the ibomAir planes.
He congratulated the new state spokesman for his numerous achievements since assumption of office, as he extolled his sterling leadership style and his deep sense of humility which has endeared him to many.
Comrade Ememobong thanked Awak on behalf of the state government for his contributions towards the smooth take off of IbomAir and his general interest in the development of the State.
