Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has sparked reactions on social media after sharing what he described as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) result of Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo.
The singer shared the document amid an ongoing online exchange over comments attributed to the Edo governor concerning Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and his dancing at political events.
In a post accompanying the document, Davido took a swipe at Okpebholo, writing: “That governor wey no sabi speak English. My governor sabi dance. Na because you no get talent, you dey talk anyhow.”
The post has since generated mixed reactions from social media users. While some users backed Davido’s response, others criticised the singer for bringing the governor’s academic record into the dispute.
However, the document circulated by Davido has only been described in reports as a purported WAEC result, and its authenticity has not been independently verified.
The latest development has added to the growing online exchange between Davido and the Edo governor, with the controversy continuing to generate reactions across social media platforms.
