The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State has come out in defense of the minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, against criticisms of his free medical treatment program in Zone C.
According to Dan-Morgan Ihomun, APC Publicity Secretary in Benue State, in a statement, weekend, in Makurdi, said the program is not a substitute for water projects, but rather one of several critical interventions aimed at addressing the immediate and long-term needs of the people of Benue South.
APC disclosed that the minister has initiated or advanced several water-related projects in Zone C, including the Otukpo Multipurpose Dam Project, Ughene Ehaje Dam, Amla Dam, and new projects based on geophysical surveys in Ai-Ajaga Oglewu, Okwutugbe, and Adu Ehaji II.

The APC urged critics to engage constructively and acknowledge ongoing efforts, stating that development is a collective task that requires collaboration, not condemnation, adding that the minister would always remain committed to ensuring that the people of Zone C and all Nigerians enjoy improved access to water and better health services.
