Sokoto Command embarks on sanitation to mark National Police Day

The walkathon, which featured various activities that include warm-up sessions and roadwork, demonstrated the commitment of the police and the community

The Sokoto State Police Command has conducted a walkathon for strength and partnership building as well as sanitation and cleanup exercise of public places to mark their National Police Day.

These events aimed at promoting a cleaner and safer environment, as well as unity and partnership between the police and the community.

The Police spokesperson further said the sanitation exercise which was led by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Musa, brought together community members and police personnel, who worked collectively to enhance the beauty and hygiene of public places.

In attendance was the Special Adviser to the Sokoto State Governor on Environmental Protection Agency, Tukur Toro.

The walkathon, which featured various activities that include warm-up sessions and roadwork, demonstrated the commitment of the police and the community in promoting health, fitness and community spirit.

The Commissioner of Police expressed his appreciation to the participants and urged everyone to join the command in the celebrations, promote a healthier and more united Sokoto Caliphate.
