Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari Left behind an evergreen memory of a rich life of deep compassion, says the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Extolling the virtues of Hajiya Safara’u, mother of the Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency (Dr.) Dikko Umaru Radda whose death was announced on Monday, APC said the matriarch lived a life of selfless service to humanity.
According to a release issued on Monday by the national publicity secretary of APC, Felix Morka, until her passing at 93, Hajiya Safara’u was renowned as a dependable pillar of her community who nurtured a generation of young people aside her biological children. In many ways, she was a mother to all.
“She lived a life of selfless service and positively shaped the lives of her children, including the current Village Head of Radda, Alhaji Kabir Umar-Radda; wife of late President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua, Hajiya Hauwa Umaru-Radda and the incumbent Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency Dikko Umaru Radda.
“A true matriach, Hajiya Safara’u has left behind an evergreen memory of a rich life of deep compassion, selflessness, resilience, integrity and love of humanity. She will be missed dearly.
