365Daily – The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied approving the inauguration of a “Leadership Council” in its Delta State chapter.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, Esq., clarified that the NWC had no involvement in the reported establishment of the council.
“The NWC did not grant approval for the inauguration or operation of a ‘Leadership Council’ in the Delta State Chapter of our Party, as claimed by reports,” the statement read.
Morka emphasised that the purported council has no legal standing within the party’s structure.
“The said ‘Leadership Council’ is not a body created or recognised under the Party’s Constitution, which clearly spells out the statutory organs, structures, and committees of the Party, and their respective powers and functions,” he stated.
The APC reiterated that the leadership framework of the party remains guided by its constitution and urged members to adhere strictly to recognised party structures.
