The Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Sokoto State Council, led by its chairman, Usman Muhammed Binji, has paid a condolence visit on the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, at his residence in Sokoto over the death of his mother, Hajiya Hawwa’u Abubakar Dingyadi.
While commiserating with the family, Binji described the death of the late Hajiya Hawwa’u as a great loss not only to her family but to the entire state.
Statement by the Secretary of the Council said Binji noted that the late Hajiya Hawwa’u lived a fulfilled life and prayed that Allah grants her eternal rest and her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding on behalf of the bereaved family, the minister thanked the NUJ for identifying with them during this trying period and prayed that Allah rewards them abundantly.
Late Hajiya Hawwa’u, aged 93, passed away on Thursday after a protracted illness. She is survived by many children, including Minister Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
