Protest: Business activities shut down as Karu LGC imposes curfew

The curfew was imposed as a precautionary measure to ensure the full security of Karu LGA

Business activities and vehicular movements have been put on hold as Karu Local Government Council of Nasarawa State imposed a 12hours curfew across the local government area following violent protest as witnessed in some parts of the local government especially at Mararaba area.

A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the chairman, Comrade Danbaba Uba Magaji, said the Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon James B Thomas, after due consideration have impose a curfew across Karu LGA from 6pm to 6am till further notice.

The curfew was imposed as a precautionary measure to ensure the full security of Karu LGA.

The curfew will restrict movement of people, Okada and Keke riders, all shops owners, and motorists in Karu LGA.
