The Catholic Priest of St. Augustine Catholic Church Ombi 1 in the Diocese of Lafia, Nasarawa State, Rev. Fr. George Shenge on Sunday called on Nigerians to go back to God with earnest prayers, and renew their vows to God for the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the country, if the nation must be healed of its crisis.
The clergy also urged the citizens to have the fear of God in their daily endeavours, respect constituted authority, shun divisive tendencies as well as ensuring that issues capable of encouraging and promoting political and religious crisis in Nigeria are discouraged.
Rev. Father Shenge who made the call in his homily in Lafia noted the that nation is experiencing hardship, insecurity and other forms of crimes because citizens have gone away from the vows made to God by adherence of various religious which he said was fast expiring as the people have forgotten their commitment and are going contrary to their promises.

He explained that if leaders and followers would do things to pleased God, the situation of the country would be changed for better.
He added that God is the only solution to the country’s problems and that it is not magic, people should just decide to do the right things at all times.
