Last-minute strike gives Coton Sport victory over Jaraaf

Cameroon’s Coton Sport scored in the game’s official last minute to defeat Senegal’s Jaraaf 1-0 on Sunday in the first leg of their 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final pairing.

Lambert Araina scored in the 90th minute to give the Cameroonians what looked to be a deserved win after they dominated the game in Garoua from the start.

Coton Sport were the better side but found it difficult to penetrate the Senegalese defence and goalkeeper Pape Ndiaye who stood tall until the last seconds of the match.

In the second half, the Coton Sport players increased the pace of their game against the resolute Jaraaf defence.

It was not till the last minute of the game where they found their needed goal through Araina to have the minimum of advantages before the return leg.
