After been in detention for 12 days, a Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, on Tuesday granted bail to #EndSARS protester, Peter Eronmosele Adene, in the sum of one million naira.
This is after it rejected a request by the police to further detain him for an additional 30 days, while they conclude investigations into allegations against Eromosele.
Eromosele’s counsel, Mr Adeshina Ogunlana, had opposed the request, arguing that the allegations against the defendant were not weighty enough to support further remand of the defender.
The EndSARS protester was arrested in Lagos and taken to Abuja on November 7 by the police, for his involvement in protests that spread nationwide and also on alleged funding of the movement.
