The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated a national reconciliation process with the establishment of a seven-member committee to address grievances arising from the party’s recent primary elections.
The committee, according to a statement jointly signed by the party’s National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses, and National Secretary, Mr. Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, is tasked with engaging aggrieved aspirants across the country and resolving outstanding issues stemming from the primaries.
Renowned political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, will chair the committee, while Engr. Buba Galadima will serve as co-chairman. Other members include Mohammed Sanni Takori as Vice Chairman, Babatunde Alli as Secretary, Mrs. Dudu Mamman Manuga, Hon. Salvador Adegoke Moshood and Alhaji Haruna Pai.

The NDC said the national reconciliation committee will be inaugurated at the party’s national secretariat at 12 noon on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
According to the statement, the committee is expected to begin consultations immediately after its inauguration, with the goal of fostering unity within the party ahead of future political activities.
