The approval underscores Governor Idris’ commitment to improving the welfare of workers, retirees and the families of deceased public servants

Kebbi State governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the release of N2,110,403,965.83 for the payment of gratuities and death benefits to state and contract staff, as well as retirees from the Local Government Service and Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs).
This was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Service, Malami Shekare, signed by the Director of Administration, Rashidu Muhammad Bala and made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
According to the statement, a total of 772 beneficiaries will receive the payments, covering gratuities and death benefits for state and contract staff, as well as retirees from the Local Government Service and LGEAs, for the period between September 16, 2025, and January 15, 2026.
“The approval underscores Governor Idris’ commitment to improving the welfare of workers, retirees and the families of deceased public servants by ensuring the timely settlement of their entitlements”, he said.
