Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central District, has welcomed the rescue of the students and pupils who were recently abducted, describing their safe return as a source of relief and hope for their families and the nation.

Speaking during plenary, the senator expressed profound sympathy to the family of the individuals who lost their lives during the unfortunate incident, and offered heartfelt condolences, praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased and for God to grant the bereaved families the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

While expressing gratitude for the successful rescue of the kidnapped students, pupils and teachers, Senator Umeh stressed that such incident should not become a recurring reality in the country.

He called for renewed commitment by relevant authorities to strengthen security across Nigeria, and ensure the protection of lives and property.
