365Daily – The Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has debunked rumours of the death of popular Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo, aka Jnr Pope, who was reported dead in a boat accident.
He said he was revived after being involved in a boat accident and rushed to a hospital for further medical attention.
Confirming his resuscitation, AGN president, Emeka Rollas, wrote on Instagram: “What God cannot do does not exist. Junior Pope is alive, he is taking treatment in the hospital.”
News of the alleged death of Junior Pope went viral on the internet earlier in the day. He was reported to have drowned while returning from a movie shoot in Anam river, Anambra State, with three others.
Before the boat they were riding in capsized, Pope lamented his phobia for water in a video.
