The Edo State born Nigerian chef, Rosemary Grace Igbadume, popular known as RossyG, has started a journey to making a mark on the sand of world history.
The graduate of Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma in Edo State who wants to set a new world record of 21 days cooking marathon began her quest on Sunday, March 10 and she is due to complete her tasked, which will last for 504 hours non-stop; a record that has never been attempted by any individual.
RossyG is already reaching out to the public through her cooking marathon currently happening at De George’s Grand Resort, Jikwoyi Phase 1, Abuja, the nation’s capital.
A visit to the venue by some journalists on Monday being second day of the event saw a large number of people eating different delicacies, others waiting to be served while RossyG was busy preparing the meals in real time.
Speaking to newsmen, some people who eat the food said they were happy with the cooking exercise as it affords them the chance to come and enjoy themselves.
According to a resident of Jikwoyi, Rejoice Braimo, “I am here to support RossyG. I have eaten her noodles with egg and it’s very wonderful. I wish her all the best and pray she reaches her 21 days”.
Another person who was also seen eating the meal said, “My name is Ada, I stay around here. I am actually here to support my friend, RossyG. I wish her more strength and good luck”.
Rosemary Grace Igbadume had applied to the Guinness World Record to embark on 21 days cooking marathon and approval was granted by the international agency since November 2023.
