365Daily – President Bola Tinubu has summoned the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to the Presidential Villa.
This may be connected to the discovery that minister’s private company, New Planet Projects Ltd, was awarded a N438 million consultancy contract by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation for the National Social Register.
Dr. Betta Edu, who awarded the contract as the minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Ministry, was on Monday suspended by the president for paying N585 million into a private account.
On Tuesday, she reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters for questioning over the alleged fraud in her ministry.
