The visit of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas to the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in 2023 presidential election, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has attracted divergent views from Nigerians on the social space.

Kwankwaso had on Thursday night posted photos of him and leadership of the House of Representatives saying, “I was pleased to receive the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, accompanied by the House Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Aliyu Sani Madaki and Hon. Mukhtar Yarima, at my Abuja residence, today. The visit bordered on matters of national importance”.

365Daily discovered that while some saw it as a good omen, others were not pleased that lawmakers from the ruling party could be having such meeting with him when there were speculations in the air that he, Kwankwaso, is already on his way back to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Fatoye Ayodele Fajis said, “Before February 25 election I consider you as the most qualified candidate, and after the election you have proven yourself beyond that. Please sir be weary of APC; don’t allow them to systematically lure you into their party with the aim of nation-building”.

Mubarak Aminu Lawan said, “A speaker from the opposing party visiting RMK in his residence. Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby present you the GOAT of Nigerian politics”.

But, on the contrary, a Twitter user, Trinity White said, “By the grace of God, you shall be next president. Just stay close”.

Collaborating the view of Trinity White, Kabir Kura posted, MashaAllah. We pray for continued Allah’s guidance to the game changer, our mentor, our leader, our pride, and above all the leader of The Kwankwasiyya Movement”.

On his part, Abbas Muhammad Tukur made a plea, “Sir with due respect I urge you to let Kano stand excellent through the hand of your boys without misguidance as President Bola Tinubu did to Lagos”.

Recall that on June 9, 2023, Kwankwaso visited President Bola Tinubu at the Residential Villa, Abuja, in what many believed was a step towards forming a government of national unity.
