365Daily – The Labour Party (LP)Presidential Campaign Council has declared the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, the killer of the party’s women leader, Mrs Victoria Chintex.
Spokesman of LP, Kenneth Okonkwo, said the accusation was made because Nasir El-Rufai is the Chief Security Officer of the state in charge of ensuring the lives and properties of the citizens are protected at all times.
Chintex, who was the LP Women leader in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was shot dead on Monday night, November 28, 2022, by gunmen who reportedly broke into her residence at about 8pm.
Reacting to the killing via his Twitter page, Okonkwo stated that if her killers were not apprehended immediately, Governor El-Rufai should be held to account.
He wrote, “The Labour Party Women Leader in Kaura, Kaduna State, Victoria Chintex, was on Monday, 28th Nov, shot dead by suspected assassins.
“The APC Governor of Kaduna State, El-Rufai, should be held responsible for her death as the CSO if the killers are not apprehended immediately.”
The Publicity Secretary of the LP in the Southern Kaduna senatorial zone, Edward Buju, who confirmed the killing in a statement, describing it as an unprovoked killing.
The assailants also shot the deceased’s husband in his leg. He was rushed to a medical facility where he is currently receiving treatment.
The statement read: “The Southern Kaduna (Zone 3) Labour Party commiserates with the party chairman and his excos in Kaura local government area, over the untimely demise of our mother and sister, Mrs Victoria Chintex, woman leader, Kaura local government who was killed yesterday (Monday) by some unknown gunmen in her residence in Kaura.”
