PDP Crisis: Wike revokes plot belonging to Atiku’s loyalist, Sen. Lee Maeba

I am directed to inform you that your allocationof Plot 20A Golf Course Layout, Old GRA, Port Harcourt, has been cancelled as shown on the attached Rivers State Official Gazette

365Daily – The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has withdrawn the ownership of a plot belonging to Sen. Lee Maeba, a supporter of the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

365Daily sighted the letter dated November 2, 2022, addressed to the former Lawmaker by the Ministry of Lands and Survey, signed by Mr Ochiagba Onyebuchi, Acting Director/HoD (Acquisition, Valuation and Compensation), on behalf of the Permanent Secretary.

The letter entitled ‘Re: Allocation of Plot 20A Golf Course Layout, Old GRA, Port Harcourt’, read: “I am directed to inform you that your allocationof Plot 20A Golf Course Layout, Old GRA, Port Harcourt, has been cancelled as shown on the attached Rivers State Official Gazette No 22, Vol 58, dated 20th September, 2022.’

Since the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the Presidential Candidate of the PDP in May, Governor Wike and his loyalists have distanced themselves from the party’s bid to return to power in 2023.

The Rivers State Governor had also vied for to be the party’s flagbearer but came second. Among his demands is the removal of the Chairman of PDP, Prof. Iyorchia Ayu.

Barely a few weeks ago, he stripped Celestine Omehia of the title of ex-Governor of the State for remaining a loyalist of Atiku and not supporting his quest to remove Ayu as Chairman of the PDP.
