The chairperson of Non-Indigenes Association in Lagos State Chief (Mrs) Kate Onyechere has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the governorship election in the state.
Chief Onyechere who is also the Assistant Women Leader of PDP (Lagos West) said her party’s candidate Olajide Adediran also known as Jandor is popular enough to defeat the incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
She was speaking at the weekend during a general assembly of non-indigenes at the party’s new state secretariat.
She used the occasion to sensitise members of the importance of registering to vote or ensuring the transfer of their registration point if they have moved residences.
She also alleged that the failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration will make Lagosians and Nigerians at large to vote PDP.
The community leader condemned the state government for targeting non-indigenes for ill treatment in spite of the economic contributions of that demography in the state. She vowed that as co-Lagosians, they will vote PDP since the ruling party has failed woefully to address the concerns of the people.
She promised to mobilise millions of non-indigenes for the election of PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and other PDP candidates.

Mrs Onyechere praised the role played by former PDP chairman in Lagos, Deji Doherty.
She said, “for the first time, there is no scandal or disagreement following our congress. The event came and went peacefully and everyone in the party is happy. We are one united, big family.
“Doherty made a promise to non-indigenes and delivered during the congress. He made us have a big stake in the state exco and we are grateful.”
Also speaking during the meeting attended by delegates from all LGAs and LCDAs of the state, the secretary of the association, Morgan Chukwuonwe, confirmed that non-indigenes were poised to ensure that APC is voted out of Lagos State Government House.
He said massive mobilisation is on-going around the state which will lead to high turnout of voters in 2023.
