365Daily –  More details have emerged from the arrest of former Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife Beatrice, in the United Kingdom over alleged human trafficking for organ harvesting.

The Ekweremadus, according to Arise Television correspondent, Adefemi Akinsanya, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrate Court on Thursday, June 23, 2022, and were denied bail.

She added that the alleged victim is a homeless 15 year old boy, Ukpo Nwamini David, who resided in Lagos. He was allegedly taken to the U.K. under the pretense that he is 21 years old, by the serving senator and his wife before they were arrested.

The case has been adjourned to July 7th, while the duo remain in custody of British authorities.

Meanwhile, a letter cited by 365Daily showed that the Ekweremadus were on a mission to secure a  kidney for their daughter who needed a transplant.

The letter, an application for visa, dated December 28, 2021, addressed to the Visa Section of the British High Commission in Abuja, introduced Mr. Ukpo undergoing investigation to donate kidney to “Sonia Ekweremadu”.

It read: “I am writing in support of the visa application made by Mr Ukpo Nwamini David who is currently having medical investigation for a kidney donation to Ms Sonia Ekweremadu.

“Sonia and David will be at the Royal Free Hospital, London and I will be providing the necessary funding. I have enclosed a statement of my bank account.

“Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require additional information.”
